I tested removing a power cord from a V440 PS, and fmadm doesn't seem
to report the failure.

- Is fmadm supposed to report PSU failures?
- what is recommened solution to monitor PS failures?

Not on that platform.

You need to monitor at the Solaris level using SunMC or something similar.

You need to monitor at the Solaris level using SunMC or something similar.
I think "prtdiag -v" may also have the power supply faults.

Yes, there is cpu/mem diagnostics on the usIIIi platforms.

No, I am not aware of a list of which platforms have specific functionality.
